2012 is over.
Which means I need to have last year's blog posts published into a nice, shiny, hard back book to match the others sitting on my book shelf from previous years.
Which means I'd really like to include all the stuff that happened in the last quarter of the year.
The holidays- Halloween, Thanksgiving and our trip to Texas, and Christmas. Nick (finally!) got his eagle and turned 16, Maddie turned 13, I'm still 24, but I celebrated my thirteenth anniversary of turning 24 by going to NYC. I was going to save my caramel money this year for a fancy DSLR camera, but John beat me to it and surprised me for my birthday. He had to cash in a whole year's worth of frequent flier miles, but it's a pretty fancy camera.
So fancy in fact, that I decided to use my caramel money to go back to school and enroll at the local community college in a photography class. And the bonus is that it's a University level class, so I am 3 credit hours closer to my BS. Or a BA. Now that I'm taking bona fide art classes, I might consider changing my focus. Of course I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, so it's probably a moot point anyway...
There's probably a few things I'm missing. But the point is, I am planning on filling in the gaps from the past few months and changing the dates on things so it looks like I wrote them awhile back, so for those interested (hi mom!) you'll have to scroll down, and double check to see what I did or didn't do.
But I am trying to go in order, so the first one I worked on today will be dated October 5, except the "upload pictures" feature is not behaving, and a couple of the pictures are my favorite part of the whole stupid post, so I can't publish without the pictures.
Of course if I can't get the picture function to work, then I don't have to make the older two dress up so I can take a picture of them in their Halloween costumes. There's a silver lining I guess.
