He was very excited. We've been counting down the days (and then the hours) to the moment when he would be free. (mostly. he gets to wear a retainer.)
After over a year and a half of total abstinence, guess what the very first thing he ate was?
One of my caramels.
I promised him a whole batch if he took care of his braces.
He said it was even better than he remembered.
