Challenge #8
A habit I wish I didn't have. Easy. Zit picking. I'm pretty OCD about it. I can't pass a mirror without checking out my reflection (and not in a vain way, but in search of zits) and if I see one, I can't not pick it. Same goes for my loved ones faces. Poor Nick has hit the ripe old age of puberty and has started taking preemptive measures of picking his own zits, cause "it hurts more when you do it." Which, ironically, is how I got started. Paranoid my dad would hold me down and pick mine, I took matters into my own hands. Of course, I took it to a whole new level, and many family members think I'm slightly crazy. But there you have it.

Challenge #7
What you would find in my bag.
I had some time to kill at the dentist office today while waiting for Maddie to get her teeth cleaned, so I decided to make good use of my time and work on that (cough, cough) thirty day blog challenge. Here's the bag- It's a fake. John picked it up on one of his various travels. I'm not afraid to admit it that I like the fakes. After having 4 kids, and having carried around you-name-it in my purses over the years, I get anxiety over thinking about buying a purse that cost more than $20-$30 (usually less). And it has to be small-ish. I can and do cram anything possible in it. The contents-
Sunglasses case- (empty- the sunglasses are on my kitchen counter, I think)
Camera (I'm taking the picture with my cellphone which I usually carry in my pocket)
Wallet with various cards, receipts, etc.
Gum
Sunblock
Drugs- Heartburn, Ibuprofen, and Excedrin. Don't you love my little pill cases? Tissues
headphones
Keys. Both sets to our one and only car. John hates when I do this.
Phoenix zoo ticket stubs
various other receipts
5 pens (including one sharpie)
Chocolate flavored chapstick
Dental appt. reminder cards
As Nancy would say "Party favors of the feminine nature"
A helmet for a Lego guy Loose change
and last but not least, an "invitation" for more cub scout training.

Challenge #3
Okay, so I am just going to make this up as I go.
challenge # 3 is supposed to be a picture of you and your friends, but I don't have one of those. Well, I have a couple pictures of this friend or that friend, but not like a group shot of my closest friends. Plus at the risk of sounding snobbish, and "I'm so cool..." I kinda have a lot of friends. At least, I consider them friends, they may only rate me in the acquaintance category, but whatever. But I think it's a side effect of not living near family. I have to reach out to friends and neighbors more, plus my kids have friends, and then I become friends with their moms, etc.
So-
I decided that I am going to mix this up. There are several "blog challenges" on-line, so seeing as this is my blog, I m going to pick and choose which things I'd like to talk about. Ü
#3- How you found out about blogs.
I don't remember the exact moment, just hearing people talk about them. I think I was at book club once, and someone was mentioning theirs, and I was like "What? you have an on-line journal where you talk about anything or nothing, and you make it available for anyone to read it? That's crazy and weird! I would NEVER do that!"
But then, slowly the idea started creeping in my brain, and I would check out various blogs, then little thoughts started popping in my head- "If I had a blog, I'd totally write about that!" and so here I am...

Challenge #2
The meaning behind your blog name.
John came up with it.
"You know, like the Brady Bunch, minus the live in maid." (of course, I took a little bit of offense to that comment)
I hate naming things. Some days I will change the title of a blog post several times before I post. You wouldn't believe the effort I put into some of those post titles.
I spent a few days deliberating, but wasn't coming up with much. It's our family blog. I do all the writing, but I try not to make it just about me.
I also like the alliteration. FY I- "Didders' Diary" was my second choice.
clear as mud?

Challenge #1
A recent picture of you, and 15 interesting facts about yourself.
I took this picture while getting my hair done a couple weeks ago. I was sending the picture to John to assure him that my hair was indeed still long and blonde.
He was worried because I went to the local beauty school. I wouldn't normally go there, but my friend Tricia is going to school there, and I trust her, and like hanging out with her. I think she's a rock star at almost anything she attempts. I think John was mostly worried because I swear every time we see Tricia, her hair is shorter and a different color. And has the occasional strand of color woven in. Like purple. Personally, I think it's awesome, but I don't think I could pull it off.
Plus, it was pretty interesting learning some of the ins and outs of the beauty school world.
For the "15 interesting Facts" part of this blog post, I am going to take the lazy way out and just provide a link to a blog post I did nearly 3 years ago. In honor of my 100th blog post, I came up with a list of 100 facts about me. As most of them probably are not that interesting, I am leaving it up to you to pick out the 15 you think are most interesting. And if anyone quits reading in the lower numbers (40's...30's...20's...) I won't hold it against you (or even know for that matter)
Here's the link ---> 100 facts about me
