things that made me laugh

At my grandma's house. Good thing she parks on the other side of the garage.

Welcome to Ogden, Utah. I think my favorite part is the orange sweatband.
~~~
This is one time when I'm glad my dad doesn't read my blog. I don't think he knew I took the picture. While pulling out of our campsite, those two big rocks formed a fantastic ramp and we were high centered before we knew what hit us. It took about an hour and some clever engineering, but he got out it out of there. Fortunately nothing was hurt, "but his pride". So, thanks in advance for not mentioning this little incident to my dad or the fact that I posted a picture of it on the Internet. Ü
More sleeping kids
Remember that I have a mild fascination with the odd positions and places in which my kids fall asleep? I have a couple more for you (me, I realize, but I like to pretend that other people find it as entertaining as I do.)
Here's the latest of the younger two- my older two seem to have figured out that the best place to sleep is their own beds. Go figure.
And my personal favorite- (and yes he is very much unconscious- he's pulled that blanket over his head and fallen asleep more times than I can count)If you enjoyed those as much as I did, and you missed the original post last May- you can check out my original sleeping kids post (click me-> here <-click me) (which by the way I spent HOURS on tracking down and scanning in half of those pictures)
What I find on my camera
I've been going through pictures on my camera and uploading things, and deleting things I don't want or need anymore, and I came across some pictures that Nick took several weeks ago, so I thought I'd share some of them.
I'm not sure why he felt the need to take some of these picture, or why I feel the need to post them (boredom, housework avoidance?) but, oh well.
Christopher's Handiwork
Part of John's postcard collection. And my messy pantry. And cluttered fridge. If you want to see that in person, all you need to do is walk down the sidewalk in the greenbelt behind our house and you can see all the ugly details. All the time. The kids think the pantry doors belong open all the time. But the fridge is my fault. Sorry.We're working on teaching the kids German at FHE. The scribbling is Christopher's addition to the lesson.Our favorite Thanksgiving decorations. They sit on the coffee table in the front room all month long.
So wait, if it was mid-November when these pictures were taken why does the calendar still say "October"?
And what's up with the Halloween decorations still being out? Who's the decorator around here anyway? She needs to be fired.And the maid who is in charge of dusting. She's fired too. It's so hard to find good help these days.I have no idea why he took this picture. Maybe he relates.
Why I like my camera phone
This is what I found when I came out of McDonald's the other day. It was the biggest stinking thing. That's my Yukon XL. I elected to try and push it out, instead of just driving out and risk scratching up my car. I have a painful sliver embedded in my finger for my effort.
