This is my husband watching football while icing his knees. A couple weeks ago he tore something in one of his knees WHILE DOING THE DISHES. He came home from one of his business trips with the other knee all wrapped up, because that knee gave out on him too.
I'd accuse him of faking it so that he could get out of doing the dishes again, or helping out at all at home, while he enjoys football season on the couch except for some glaringly obvious facts-
-He's still helping out. Scenes like the one above are usually when he has over exerted himself. Sometimes I have to yell at him to knock it off and quit being stubborn.
- He's at the physical therapist's right now. He hates going to the doctor, because he "doesn't have time for this." So after several doctor visits, x-rays, an MRI, he is finally at the physical therapist, and we are discussing surgery as an option.
- The doctor put limits on his activities-
No Swimming
No Running
And Especially NO GOLF!!!! (for a couple months at the minimum)
That last one is how I really know he's not faking. Given the opportunity, 10 out of 10 times he'd choose playing golf over watching football. My poor husband.

Poor guy! At least he can still sit at the computer. That's what's important isn't it!!
